Ambir Technology to Exhibit at Booth 9023 During the HIMSS 2010 Conference

Ambir Technology to exhibit at the HIMSS 2010 annual conference and exhibition March 1-4, booth # 9023 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA and introduce new hardware and software products.

Elmhurst, IL – February 16, 2010 – Ambir Technology, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of digital capture products will be exhibiting at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2010 Conference and Exhibition March 1-4 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.  Ambir staff members will be at booth # 9023 demonstrating the company’s new remote scanning software, ScanLink.  The software allows document and ID scanners to be shared across a network.  It features added security, as scanned files are by default stored on the server rather than a local machine. As an added benefit, client software is free because licensing is done at the server level. It also features centralized management of users and scanner settings.

 

Ambir will also demonstrate its two newest document and ID scanners, the ImageScan™ Pro 490i and the TravelScan Pro.  The ImageScan™ Pro 490i is a duplex, USB powered scanner with smooth ID card feeding, and sharp imaging that is compatible with virtually all EMR and practice management systems.  The TravelScan Pro is a low cost simplex, scanner that handles both documents and ID cards equally well. Its small footprint and the fact that it is USB powered also make it an extremely mobile device.

 

As with all Ambir Technology scanners, the ImageScan™ Pro 490i and TravelScan Pro are TWAIN and WIA compliant. This means that any application program designed to work with the TWAIN or WIA standards will work with these scanners, including many specialized applications within the healthcare industry.
