Ambir Technology Today Announced the Availability of the New ImageScan™ Pro 490i Duplex A4 ID Card and Document Scanner

The ImageScan Pro 490i, Ambir Technology’s new duplex ID card and document scanner, is now available.

Elmhurst, IL –December 28, 2009 – Ambir Technology, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of digital capture products, today announced the general availability of its ImageScan Pro 490i duplex A4 ID Card and Document Scanner. The DS490 represents a step forward in scanner design with sharper imaging and improved card feeding. This makes scanning media like laminated ID cards and plastic cards with embossed characters fast and easy.

As with all Ambir Technology scanners, the new DS490 is TWAIN compliant. This means that any application program designed to work with the TWAIN protocol will work with this scanner, including many specialized applications within the healthcare industries.
