Ambir Technology Today Announced the Availability of the Newly Redesigned TravelScan® Pro Simplex Document and ID Card Scanner


Elmhurst, IL – January 6, 2010 – Ambir Technology, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of digital capture products, today announced the general availability of its redesigned TravelScan Pro document and ID card scanner. The scanner itself has a new look, a detachable USB cable and faster scanning speed. The new TravelScan Pro has a button to automatically launch software applications, a feature not available in previous models. Document handling has also been improved from earlier models.

The redesigned scanner, simply called the TravelScan Pro will replace the old TravelScan Pro 600 model.

As with all Ambir Technology scanners, the TravelScan Pro is TWAIN and WIA compliant. This means that any application program designed to work with the TWAIN or WIA standards will work with this scanner, including many specialized applications within the financial and healthcare industries.
