Mac Compatibility
In support of our Mac customers, Ambir is pleased to offer Mac drivers compatible with several of our most popular document and ID scanners. Please note the following when using these drivers:
| • | Ambir makes no representation regarding the usability or performance of these drivers; users downloading and utilizing these drivers do so at their own discretion & risk |
| • | The AmbirScan software bundled with Ambir scanners does not communicate with the Mac driver; customers must provide their own software that is capable of communicating with a TWAIN scanner from a Mac supported software application |
| • | Ambir does not provide end user technical support pertaining to the installation or use of these drivers with software applications |
Attention Mac OS 10.6 users:
Although our Macintosh drivers are compatible with applications run on the OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) platform, the scanner utility program, called Image Capture, which comes with the OS will not work with our scanners. You will need to obtain a TWAIN compliant application in order to use one of our scanners. Some existing Mac compatible scanning applications available for purchase or free download are listed below:

Please be aware these applications have not been tested with Ambir scanners and we do not support them. Contact the application vendor directly to find out if the software supports your specific scanner model.
